The City invites residents to participate in a virtual Town Hall on September 29, 2020 at 7 PM.  Both the Governing Body and key city staff will be in attendance and will be following proper social distancing requirements.

The Town Hall is intended to serve as a public forum for discussion on two key topics: parking and community maintenance (code enforcement).  City staff acknowledges residents’ concerns over these two issues and will continue to work towards improving the quality of life in our city and offer solutions if additional enforcement is requested.

Due to the Governing Body Chambers being used for election purposes, this Town Hall will be conducted virtually and will be live streamed via the City’s Youtube channel located here.  There will be a short presentation followed by a Question and Answer session.  The presentation provides a snapshot of the current status of parking enforcement, code enforcement, and zoning enforcement, and offers some recommendations for the way forward.  The Q+A session is a two-way dialogue between residents and the Governing Body and City Staff.

Residents will have several ways to participate in the discussion: emailing City Clerk at,  calling 703-335-8808,  posting comments via Facebook Messenger or in the Facebook Event called “September 2020 Virtual Town Hall,”  or posting comments during the Youtube’s live stream event called “September 2020 Virtual Town Hall.”  All mediums will be monitored by staff and all questions will be answered in the order it was received.  A recording will also be posted to Youtube.

We invite all residents to participate in this discourse.  Please consider sharing with your friends and neighbors.

For those who attended the virtual town hall, let us know how we did!  The City invites you to fill out a quick survey here.  The survey can also be found at this link:
