The Voter Registration Office maintains voter rolls, processes potential candidates and handles campaign finance reports.  The staff is knowledgeable in federal, state and local laws and codes. The Office and its three-member Electoral Board is responsible for virtually all aspects for voter registration and election administration in the city of Manassas Park.

The Manassas Park Electoral Board will meet on April 19, 2017 starting at 11:00am The location of the meeting is Manassas Park City Hall,  located at One Park Center Court.  Voters who voted by provisional ballot during the April 18, 2017 Special election may submit any additional information that may assist the Board during their decision making process.  For voters who voted without proper photo ID you have until Friday April 21, 2017 12:00 noon to provide the photo ID. The Canvas will begin following the Provisional ballot process on April 19, 2017.

Special Election April 18, 2017

A Special Election will be held on April 18, 2017 for the purpose of filling the vacancy that exists in the office of the Clerk of Circuit Court for the 31st Judicial Circuit of Virginia for the remainder of the unexpired term. 

Persons wishing to run for this office must submit required forms by 5:00pm on March 6, 2017.

Voters should vote at their normal voting precincts. 

The last day to register for this election is April 4, 2017.  The office of Voter Registration will close at 5:00pm.

Voter Registration

Residents must be a registered voter in order to vote in local, state and federal elections.  There is no requirement that you specify your party affiliation when you register. Residents must register no later than 21 days before the election in which you plan to vote.  To register, the following requirements must be met.

  1. Be a citizen of the United States
  2. Be 18 years older by the next November General Election
  3. Be a resident of Virginia
  4. Have had your voting rights restored if you have ever been convicted of a felony
  5. Have had your capacity restored if you have been declared mentally incapacitated

Applications to register to vote are available at a number of locations, by mail and online.

Polls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Election Day

Absentee Voting

If you will be unable to vote at your polling location on election day you may request an application for an absentee ballot.  Ballots are available 45 days before each election.  If you would like to cast a ballot in-person and you are unable to come in during the week, we are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Saturday preceeding a Primary and the two Satrudays preceeding a General Election. For questions regarding absentee voting and whether you qualify you can contact the Registrar or visit the State Board of Elections.  At this location you can download and print an application.
