The Manassas Park Department of Public Works would like to remind you that parking is prohibited on all snow emergency routes during a declared snow emergency. When the City Manager issues a snow emergency declaration, a parking prohibition on all streets designated as snow emergency routes will go into effect four (4) hours after the announcement, with at least one (1) announcement being made between 8am and 5pm.
A parking prohibition shall automatically go into effect on any snow emergency route on which there has been an accumulation of snow and/or ice of four (4) inches or more.
During the parking prohibition period, any vehicle parked in/along a snow emergency route will be towed to the nearest public parking area, or to an area designated or maintained by the Manassas Park Police Department or otherwise maintained by the City of Manassas Park in accordance with section 19.4-9 Code of the City of Manassas Park.
The parking prohibition will remain in effect until the snow emergency declaration has been terminated by the City Manager.
The following streets have been designated as snow emergency routes:
1) Manassas Drive from Baker Street to Golf Court
2) Denver Drive from Manassas Drive to Rugby Road
3) Digital Drive from Manassas Drive to West Carondelet Drive
4) Matthew Drive (all)
5) Carondelet Drive (all)
6) Polk Drive from Manassas Drive to Old Centreville Road
The parking of any vehicles during this snow emergency on the above mentioned streets shall be prohibited. Vehicles in violation during this incident will be ticketed and subject to towing at owners expense.
