City Hall Reopens with Protective Measures

The City will be opening our own transitional neighborhood library this summer at Blooms Park using an existing facility and existing library budgeted funds (not increasing spending).

The goal is to establish a more permanent downtown library as part of the ongoing effort to build a downtown with the current timeline for opening in 2023. The downtown solution would be a more robust library service to our residents that will be capitally funded via a development agreement (not existing taxpayer funds) and would help drive downtown commercial success with an adjacent/connected coffee shop.

As our City moves towards our own Library system, we need to establish a Library Advisory Board in order to provide public input and recommendations to both the Governing Body and City Staff on matters related to the Library (materials, programs, etc.).

We need your help! If you are interested in joining this Library Advisory Board (and establishing the group’s bylaws) please submit applications to Lana Conner at by March 6th, 2020. Please include a simple write up about your qualifications and why you are interested in serving.
