"If we can't reach you, we can't alert you!"

All of the towns, cities and counties in Northern Virginia are switching over to a new Emergency Alert System.  Manassas Park is replacing "Code Red" with Manassas Park Alerts, and City residents and businesses are strongly encouraged to sign up here. (If you don't have a computer, you can call the police non-emergency number at 703-361-1136.)

Manassas Park Alerts allows you to receive critical information about emergencies such as severe weather, road closures, missing persons, neighborhood and school evacuations, etc.  You can opt to receive this information on up to 10 devices including home phone, mobile or business phones, e-mails, text messages, Voice over IP, etc.  If you live in another jurisdiction (e.g. Fairfax, Arlington, Haymarket, Warren, etc.)  be sure to sign up on that community's website.  You can sign up on up to five locations.

In addition to emergency notifications, they're also Community Notifications that you can sign up to receive such as City mowing, hydrant flushing, street repair, etc.  To receive non-emergency Community Notifications, you have to register for the categories of your choice.
