To our Manassas Park Community:

The Governor recently lifted the universal indoor mask mandate to align with the new guidance from CDC.  Specifically, all fully vaccinated individuals do not have to wear masks in most indoor settings.  Those who are unvaccinated or not fully-vaccinated are strongly encouraged to wear masks in all settings. Governor Northam also announced that Virginia will ease all social distancing and capacity restrictions on May 28, 2021.  This is primarily due to strong vaccine numbers and dramatically lowered case counts.  The City aligns with the State and CDC’s guidance on public health recommendations.  Additionally, many City employees have been vaccinated, and those who are fully vaccinated have the option of not wearing their mask at work.  However, some staff who are fully vaccinated may choose to wear a mask based on their comfort level.  We encourage all staff and residents who are not fully vaccinated to continue wearing a mask while inside city facilities.

Residents are invited to read the full Governor's Press Release on masks here.
